Our approach to copyright

YT Downloader does not host or store YouTube videos. It is a tool that helps people save content they are permitted to save. Downloading others' media without permission may violate copyright rules and YouTube's Terms of Service, and we ask everyone to use the tool only for permitted personal use.

If you are a rights holder and believe this site is being used to infringe your work, you can send us a notice and we will review it.

Sending a DMCA takedown notice

A notice should be sent through the Contact page and should contain the following information so that we can act on it:

  • A description of the copyrighted work you say has been infringed.
  • Where the material appears, including the exact link to the video or page.
  • Your name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
  • A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law.
  • A statement that the information is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

What happens next

We review each complete notice. If it is valid, we take reasonable steps in line with the law, which may include removing or disabling access to the material on this site. Incomplete notices may be returned with a request for the missing details.

Counter-notices

If you believe material was removed by mistake or misidentification, you can send a counter-notice through the Contact page. Please include the location of the material, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe it was removed in error, your contact details and your signature.

Repeat infringement and false notices

We may stop providing service to anyone who repeatedly infringes copyright. Please also be aware that knowingly making a false claim in a notice can carry legal consequences.
